Day 1

1. Thanking God for his faithful throughout this year until now.

Psalm 100:4-5 “4  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

2. Thanking God for his goodness and Love that has kept us.

Psalm 136:1-3 “1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. 2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.”

3. God is inviting us to his throne of grace where mercy and forgiveness is delivered without condemnation. Come in humility and do not hold back.

Hebrew 4:16 “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

4. Ask the Spirit of God to help us this retreat season. He is the only one who knows what God has in store for us.

1 Corinthians 2:11 “For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”

5. Pray that our strength will be restored as we wait before him this week of the retreat.

Isaiah 40:31: "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

6. Pray that we will find help in his presence this week.

Isaiah 41:10: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

7. Ask God to help us focus on him this week and not on anything or anyone.

Psalm 121:1-2 “1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
